An assessment session is the required first step. During this initial phase, which typically takes two sessions to complete, the therapist reviews the individual’s case history, evaluates their musical strengths and needs, and determines their responsiveness to music therapy interventions. Following the assessment, the therapist delivers weekly music therapy sessions tailored to the individual’s specific treatment goals.

Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.

Clients are generally seen once a week for 45-minute sessions, depending on individual needs and availability. Treatment duration varies—ranging from several weeks to several years—and progress is evaluated on an ongoing basis.

There are no long-term contracts required, and clients may choose to discontinue services at any time. However, to ensure a smooth therapeutic closure, we kindly request a two-week notice before stopping sessions.

We do not offer in-home services at this time. All sessions are conducted at our clinic.

Zelle is our preferred payment method. We also accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards (excluding American Express). Payment is due at the time of service.

We operate as a self-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly, though we can provide an itemized superbill upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance provider.

Regarding Medicaid, Georgia Core Medicaid (Katie Beckett) does not reimburse for music therapy services. However, clients enrolled in the Georgia Medicaid NOW/COMP waiver program can apply their funds toward music therapy.
