He received his Master\u2019s degree in Music Therapy from Illinois State University in 2006. He completed his clinical internship at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago where he worked with a wide array of patients with cancer, traumatic brain injuries, and psychiatric diagnoses. He uses an expressive and dynamic approach, in\u00a0which therapeutic goals are addressed through utilization of the structural elements of both improvised and pre-composed music. He has experience in working\u00a0with a variety of populations in music therapy including: preschool children, at-risk youth, and people with autism or other developmental disabilities. Michelle was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Florida State University with viola as her primary instrument. She is also proficient in guitar and piano. Michelle completed her clinical internship at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and Healing Hearts Music Therapy, LLC. in Tallahassee, FL. She has a wide range of experiences working several different populations through practicums, internship, and volunteer work. Populations she’s worked with include all ages of various conditions in the hospital and rehabilitation setting, schools and churches (Pre-K, Elementary, and Middle), private practice, memory care and senior living\/care, and hospice.
