They have difficulties with carrying out a multi-step action plan in response to either a verbal request or visual information. Many children with ADHD have challenges in processing sensations. Over-responsiveness leads them to be less attentive. For many who have felt helpless\u00a0in controlling\u00a0their own attention and activity level, anxiety can cause them to be even more distracted and forgetful.<\/p>\n<p>Music therapy can support, accompany, and\/or\u00a0 enhance the child&#8217;s music-making process by fostering interactions, strengthening motor functions, and helping the child plan and sequence actions and thoughts. Problems in following instructions and paying attention can make the child feel guilty and incompetent.
